Abstract

[Introduction] : The object of this test was to determine the efficiency of the boiler over a range of loads. At the plant this boiler is known as Boiler No. (1). It is used to supply steam for the generating units. The method of procedure consisted in making and recording seven tests of the boiler at loads ranging from fifty per cent of the builders' rating to one hundred thirty per cent. The following data and conclusions were obtained from these tests.
