Abstract

Absorption of formaldehyde and difluoro-methane under low dispersion in the photographic infra-red region is described, and approximate vibrational assignments made. An attempt was made to study some of the bands of difluoro-methane under high dispersion, but does not yield much information. The C-H band of formic acid monomer photographed under high dispersion is discussed. It has the same rotational structure as the 0-E bands. The small moment of inertia is calculated. for the third C-H vibrational state, and the band origin located.
