Abstract
This investigation was undertaken to determine the variations in amplitude of the reflected wave when the initial wave is subjected to the effects of various slopes of breakwater faces. The investigation was conducted as one inch to forty foot model study the results of which may be of some value in further development of techniques and procedures at the California Institute of Technology's Hydraulics Model Laboratory and which may prove of some practical significance in the selection of breakwater slopes were the amplitude of the reflected waves is a major problem.
