Abstract
The object of this study was to investigate those parameters which affect the overall performance of a sounding rocket. The index of performance is the maximum summit altitude attained when neglecting separation in a nozzle operated under overexpanded conditions. Secondly, a theoretical analysis was made of the effect of jet separation on nozzle performance.
